You probably can figure this out on your own, but uncertainty can be daunting, and a strong coach can help you gain clarity. When pre-existing protocols fail, when information is incomplete or delayed, when expert guidance may be conflicting, a strong executive coach can help you get oriented. Familiar routines, protocols, or strategies may no longer fit the situation, which is why you may feel stuck. In these moments, the work is not to pretend you have perfect information. The work is to find your bearings, read the situation more clearly, and make the next best move with judgment, steadiness, and flexibility.

They are used to being highly capable, responsible, and self-reliant, so it is not always easy for them to ask for help. They may be navigating a transition, a leadership challenge, a complex decision, a relationship issue, or the quiet sense that something feels off.

We start by clarifying what is happening, what needs to change, and what would make our work useful. Sessions typically take place by Zoom or phone, and can be in person for corporate engagements. After each session, I send thoughtful coaching notes with relevant homework, questions to consider, and experiments to try. Between sessions, we may use email support or brief check-ins to keep the work moving.
The process is reflective but practical: we identify patterns, consider fresh vantage points, bring in relevant research when useful, and test small experiments in real life. The goal is better judgment, steadier action, and the ability to adjust course as reality unfolds.
Coaching gives you a private, focused space to think out loud about what matters: your goals, pressures, questions, strengths, and choices.
In session, we slow things down enough to notice patterns, examine assumptions, explore options, and make sense of what you may already know but have not yet fully articulated.
The conversation is thoughtful, practical, and candid, with enough structure to keep the work grounded and enough openness to let new insight emerge.
Most sessions take place by Zoom, since my clients live and work in many locations. Phone sessions are also available if you prefer. For corporate engagements, workshops, retreats, and team work, we can discuss in-person options when appropriate.

TCoaching may be a good fit if you are ready to think honestly, receive support, and take practical action. You might ask yourself:

If what you need is more focused on healing, diagnosis, or mental health treatment, therapy or another clinical resource may be the better starting point.

Coaching is a structured conversation that helps you think more clearly, see patterns, make better choices, and take practical action. It creates space to examine what matters, what is getting in the way, and how to align your decisions, relationships, work, and daily life with the person you want to become. Unlike psychotherapy, coaching is not designed to diagnose or treat mental health conditions; it is focused on clarity, development, decision-making, and forward movement.

I am a “pracademic”: a practitioner credentialed by ICF as a Professional Certified Coach and an academic with a PhD in Strategy, who teaches as an adjunct professor at NYU. I combine executive coaching, organizational psychology, strategy research, and practical experience to bring out the best in each of my clients.
I work especially well with analytical, technical, and high-achieving clients who are used to solving problems themselves, but are facing situations where data alone does not provide a clear answer.
What sets my work apart is the combination of rigor and depth: I can meet clients in analytical complexity without ignoring human judgment, emotion, relationships, power, timing, and the quieter signals that often matter in consequential decisions.

If you have one focused question, decision, or situation, a stand-alone session may be enough. We can absolutely start there if that feels easiest.
If you are working through a transition, recurring pattern, leadership challenge, or meaningful change that needs continuity, a coaching package is usually the better fit. Packages are designed for sustained change and include a structured arc, between-session support, session notes, and ongoing attention to patterns, progress, and next steps.
If we begin with a stand-alone session and it becomes clear that the work would benefit from more continuity, I will suggest one of the packages. No pressure either way.

Some focused questions or decisions can be clarified in one to three sessions. More complex transitions, leadership challenges, relationship patterns, or strategic questions often benefit from three to six months of support.
Some clients come for a single focused session or occasional tune-ups. Others prefer a coaching package for ongoing support as they work through different aspects of their professional and personal lives over time.
